Product description
Redbreast is an iconic Irish single pot still whiskey, whose roots date back to the early 20th century. The brand was created by W&A Gilbey, a London wine and spirits merchant, who began bottling whiskey under the Redbreast name in 1912. The name refers to the robin (English: Robin redbreast), a bird symbolizing Ireland, but the owner was also fascinated by birds. Redbreast 21 YO is matured for 21 years in Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry barrels of the first pour. It is produced using the triple distillation method in copper stills. The mash is made of malted and unmalted barley (Single Pot Still) without the addition of any other types of grain. It is the oldest in the collection of this world-famous brand, with a full aroma and unlike the 12 or 15 year old, this whiskey has more notes of tropical fruits, peaches and apricots.
