Product description
Smooth Ambler Spirits, headquartered in Maxweltown, West Virginia, was founded in 2009.
In addition to distilling gin, vodka and whiskey, the company operates as an Independent Bottler, bottling whiskey and rum. Whiskey from other distilleries and processed in-house is released under the Old Scout name. The Smooth Ambler Old Scout American Whiskey presented here is a blend of 7-year-old bourbon from MGP Indiana and 5-year-old Tennessee Whiskey distilled from a bourbon mash but aged in refill barrels (most likely from George Dickel Distillery). In December 2016, Pernod Ricard purchased a majority stake in Smooth Ambler Spirits.
