Product description
The Knockando Distillery was built by John Thompson in 1898 and is now owned by Diageo.
In the early years of its operation, the distillery distilled only in winter using barley hayed in spring, and subsequent owners called each year of distillation a "season". This tradition continues to this day, with official Knockando editions marked both by age and vintage. Knockando is one of the key ingredients of the J&B blend, debuting as a single malt in 1978 and enjoying success mainly in Spain and France. Its annual sales reach 600,000 bottles. The edition presented here comes from the 1967 distillation season and was bottled in 1980 for the brand's Italian importer, Dateo Import SpA.
