- The original bottling of Bowmore Mariner, introduced in the late 1990s with the task to fill the gap between 12 and 17 years old.
Product description
The original Mariner edition from the late 1990s, a whisky that was intended to fill the gap in the offering between the 12 and 17 year old versions.
Its name refers to the bourbon barrels that cross the Atlantic to be used by Scottish producers to mature their whiskies. Mariner was aged mainly in bourbon barrels with a small amount of sherry casks, and its label was changed several times, the last time in 2007. Bowmore editions from the last century are now highly sought after by collectors due to their extremely attractive screen-printed label presentation .
