Product description
Moon Import was founded in 1980 in Genoa by Pepi Mongiardino and quickly became famous as an importer and distributor of high-quality wines and spirits.
Following the suggestion of the legendary Silvano Samaroli († 2017), Mongiardino avoided collaboration with industry giants and focused on bottling single casks of whisky, usually from private owners. Inspired by old engravings from an 18th-century German encyclopedia, Mongiardino often designed the graphic page for the editions of his whiskies himself. The Linkwood 1979 presented here spent about 14 years in a sherry butt no. 6097. Bottled in 1993 in the series "The Sails in the Wind", in an edition of 660 bottles.
