Product description
Bloom London Dry gin debuted in 2009. Its creator is Joanne Moore, master distiller of G&J Distillers, responsible for the production of one of the oldest gins, Greenall's, the formula was developed in 1761 by Thomas Dakin.
Inspired by English gardens and meadows, Ms. Moore created a gin with a much milder palette than the classic London Dry, perfectly appealing to the tastes of female consumers. In her formula, the main roles are played by honeysuckle flowers, chamomile and pomelo (a fruit from the grapefruit family), while the more traditional ingredients are juniper berries, coriander, angelica and cubeb pepper. The botanicals are separately macerated in triple-distilled wheat spirit for 24 hours, then subjected to final distillation. In our opinion, Bloom London Dry is one of the most interesting proposals among modern gins, the winner of many medals and awards, one of the latest being the silver medal awarded to it in 2019 by the judges of the International Spirit Challenge. Bloom London Dry is a subtle, floral gin with the aroma of a meadow after a May storm and a beautifully balanced palette, where notes of chamomile and citrus compete with juniper and a delicate spiciness of spices. Its author serves it with tonic and a few strawberries.
