Bumbu is a brand of rum that refers to traditional methods of producing rum in the Caribbean style, it produces rum in a traditional distillery, established in 1893. It uses excellent quality local water and sugar cane, obtained from all over the Caribbean, not limited to Barbados. Distillation takes place in column stills.
Bumbu The Original rum is based on a recipe commonly used in the 16th and 17th centuries, when sailors brought the best raw materials from all over the Caribbean that were later used to make rum. It was then called "Bumbu". The modern version of the original Bumbu is made in small batches and blended. In its bouquet we will find sweet fruit accents, mainly bananas, vanilla, caramel, spices, nuts and cinnamon.
