Product description
Cardhu Distillery (also known as Cardow) was built by John Cumming in 1824.
John Walker & Sons bought it in 1893 for £20,500 and Cardhu has remained a key component of Johnnie Walker blends ever since. Cardhu single malt has been available for half a century, debuting in 1965 as Cardow. It is a very friendly and mild whisky sold in characteristic angular bottles, a great introduction to the world of single malts .
Aroma : mild, floral, heather, apples, vanilla, a hint of nuts and a barely perceptible trace of peat smoke.
Taste: mild and delicate, slightly malty, vanilla cream, sweet breakfast cereals, honey, orchard fruit and a pinch of peat.
Finish: not too long, slightly malty, vanilla and delicate oak bitterness.
