Product description
Glen Grant Distillery has been operating since 1840 and was the first of five distilleries built in Rothes.
Its founders were brothers John and James Grant, previously involved in illegal whisky production. Glen Grant has been one of the most popular single malts for years, at the turn of the century it was second in sales statistics, second only to Glenfiddich (currently it closes the top ten). The success of Glen Grant was contributed to by the Gordon & MacPhail company, which has offered it in both aged and vintage versions since time immemorial. Glen Grant 1948 Vintage is a whisky distilled at a time when the distillery was still owned by the founding family, and aged for about 58 years. The bottle is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. (G&M note.)
