Product description
Søren Solkær is a famous Danish photographer who is famous for his excellent photos of music stars, including U2, Björk, David Lynch and The Arctic Monkeys.
In 2016, Highland Park Distillery hired an artist to create a photographic chronicle of the distillery, its employees, its buildings, the Orkney landscape and, of course, the whisky-making process. The result of the collaboration is a unique book containing 250 photographs depicting the 220-year history of Highland Park single malt, the beauty of the island and its people, and the captivating charm of the distillery itself. Alongside the elegant, black leather-bound book, there is a bottle of equally unique Highland Park whisky named after the photographer. The whisky was matured for 26 years in American oak sherry casks and first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength (40.5% abv). This luxurious limited edition (1,206 bottles) is presented in an elegant leather case.
Highland Park Søren Solkær is, in the producer's words, "a whiskey with delicate notes of cloves and cardamom, the sweetness of raisins and Orcadian, heather smoke in the background."
