Product description
“The Singleton” is an expression used by whisky brokers in the early 20th Century. If a certain broker had only one cask of a special malt whisky in his inventory he would describe it as being “a singleton”.
The phrase returned in 1986 with the launch of “The Singleton of Auchroisk” and was spread around the world two decades later with the release of three 12 years old Singletons for three continents – Dufftown for Europe, Glen Ord for Asia and Glendullan for America. All three bottlings made an excellent introduction to the complex world of single malts. Luscious Nectar is the newest version of the Singleton of Dufftown 12 years old. The whisky is a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks.
