- Cedar Ridge Distillery is located in Swisher, just south of Cedar Rapids, the second largest city in the state of Iowa. It was founded by Jeff and Laurie Quint in 2005 as an extension to their Cedar Ridge Vineyards.

Cedar Ridge Distillery began in 2005 on the site of Cedar Ridge Vineyards, which had been founded two years earlier by Jeff and Laurie Quint.
Cedar Ridge is the first legal whiskey producer in Iowa since Prohibition. The Cedar Ridge brand debuted with bourbon in 2010 and today includes rye, wheat and single malt whiskeys. This Cedar Ridge Rye whiskey is distilled from a mash of 70% rye, 25% corn and 5% malted barley and aged in new American oak barrels for approximately three years. This is a small batch whiskey, our bottle is from Batch #14.
Nose: spicy and distinctly oaky, black pepper, cinnamon, anise, cocoa powder, vanilla, caramel and toasted rye bread.
Taste: sweet with a pleasant spiciness, vanilla, caramel, ginger, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, traces of dried berries, roasted nuts and oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of fresh wholemeal, caramel, vanilla, ginger, pepper, cocoa and oak.
