The GlenDronach Port Wood is inspired by the 19th century history of importing barrels filled with port to the British Isles. At that time, many barrels of the best port from the Portuguese Douro Valley were purchased by Scottish nobility. Despite the passage of time, the port produced here still impresses with its quality. We selected the most valuable barrels from this wine and placed The GlenDronach Port Wood in them for three years. The whiskies from these barrels were combined into a coherent whole thanks to the craftsmanship of Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie. Thanks to this, this complex expression of The GlenDronach Port Wood is full of fruit notes, led by ripe berries. The whole is crowned by the brand's characteristic, long and rich finish .
