Product description
The word "brandy" comes from Dutch and means "burnt wine".
In the 16th century, Dutch merchants distilled wine and transported it in barrels. In 1772, James Duff and Juan Haurie founded a partnership, soon joined by Thomas Osborne Mann as a partner; in 1857, his descendants became sole owners. Today, 250 years later, Osborne is a producer and distributor of wines, brandies and other spirits, as well as high-end food products. In 2020, Osborne Group was named “Brandy Producer of the Year.” The Carlos I Solera Gran Reserva, distilled from Airén and Palomino grapes, was aged in old Amontillado sherry barrels using the solera system.
