Product description
Penderyn, Wales’ only whisky distillery, commenced operations in 2000. The distillery is equipped with an extraordinary still designed by Dr David Faraday, a descendant of Michael Faraday, often called the ‘father of electricity’.
The apparatus has a clarifier and rectification column installed and produces a distillate with an alcohol content of 92%. Penderyn Faraday, named after the creator of the aforementioned still, debuted in the autumn of 2018 in the offer for the Travel Retail chain. The whisky is aged in bourbon barrels, finished in port barrels and bottled at an alcohol content of 46%. Penderyn produces around 400 thousand liters of distillate per year, and the team responsible for distillation and blending consists exclusively of women.
