Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition, the first bourbon bottled in crystal Baccarat decanter, was introduced in May 2019 in selected Travel Retail stores around the globe.
The edition is a cooperation of Woodford Reserve Distillery and Baccarat Company, legendary fine crystal producer since 1765 (they made their name making chandeliers and goblets for royalties and later luxurious perfume bottles). Woodford Reserve bourbon selected for this edition was finished in XO cognac casks for three years and according to Chris Morris, Woodford master distiller, “shows balance of crisp American and French oak notes, complex fruit character, subtle spiciness and a creamy confectionary finish”.
The decanter design is based on Woodford Reserve’s classic bottle silhouette and is engraved with the logos of both Woodford Reserve and Baccarat. It is presented in a signature Baccarat red box with multi-dimensional doors that rotate upon opening and includes a crystal stopper adorned with Woodford Reserve’s initials.
