Product description
In 2018, Compass Box created The Circle, a social media platform for bartenders.
Its first winner was Rosey Mitchell from London's Three Sheets bar, and the prize was the opportunity to create her own blended malt with the help of the company's founder John Glaser and his associate Jill Boyd. The formula for the first edition of The Circle is built around the single malt Tamdhu complemented with Clynelish and "peated Orkney whisky" (Highland Park?) and a proprietary blend (Clynelish, Dailuaine and Teaninich) finished in French oak. The whisky hit the market in May 2019 in an edition of 6,151 bottles.
Nose: floral and elegant, summer meadow, vanilla, honey, caramel, white chocolate, ripe apples, cherries, peaches, nut nougat and a trace of ginger.
Palate: vanilla cream, peanut butter, baked apples, grapes, honeydew melon, breakfast cereals, cinnamon, cloves and light oak notes.
Finish : medium long, with notes of buttered toast, vanilla, nut nougat, a hint of licorice and a distant trace of smoke.
