A high-ester vintage rum from the Monymusk distillery in Jamaica.
It is a blend of 10 barrels of 2007 and 2 barrels of 2008 rum, distilled in traditional pot stills and matured entirely in American bourbon oak barrels, not on site, in the tropics, but after being transported to Europe, in a continental climate. A joint venture between the Dutch independent distributor Scheer and the Italian rum specialist Velier. Rum of the Wedderburn category (MMW), with an ester content of 243.5 gr/hlpa (grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol).
Aroma: Notes of citrus, exotic fruits, coconuts, almonds, coffee, tobacco, some menthol and medical accents.
Palate : Pineapples, apples, plums, floral notes, cane sugar, ginger, lime, fennel.
Finish: Long, notes of dried fruit.
