Product description
The Elements of Islay is a series of single malt and blended malt whiskies (debuted in 2008) from the Specialty Drinks Ltd portfolio dedicated to the legendary island of Islay.
The Elements of Islay are bottled at natural ABV and without chill filtration, either as single cask or small batch (made from no more than 20 barrels). The edition names are somewhat reminiscent of Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, and the number after the symbol refers to the number of releases from that distillery. The Pl6 presented here, the sixth release of Bruichladdich’s Port Charlotte single malt from 2019, comes from three bourbon barrels filled in 2011. The release consisted of 1,163 bottles.
