John Distilleries Ltd. is one of the major producers of alcoholic beverages in India. The company was founded in 1992 by Paul P. John, the son of a plantation and liquor baron in Karnataka.
Currently John Distilleries owns three distilleries and produces its brands in 18 locations in India. Malt whisky production started in 2008 and with the next decade it scored about 200 medals and awards. Paul John Nirvana was launched in the spring of 2019 as part of the core range. This unpeated and very “friendly” whisky is distilled from locally grown six-row barley and aged in toasted American oak barrels. In our opinion Nirvana offers good quality for really attractive price.
