- The Rock Island brand was launched in the late 2018 as part of Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts.
Product description
Rock Island debuted in the fall of 2018 in Douglas Laing & Co.’s excellent Remarkable Regional Malts series. We believe it replaced the previous representative of the Scottish islands, Rock Oyster.
Rock Island is a blend of single malts from the islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney. Other regions are represented by Timorous Beastie (Highlands), Scallywag (Speyside), Big Peat (Islay), The Epicurean (Lowlands) and The Gauldrons (Campbeltown). In summer 2019, the company offered a limited edition of Rock Island 21 years old, the oldest edition of this whisky to date. 4,200 bottles were released.
