Product description
Munich-based Illusionist Distillery was founded in 2015 by Max Muggenthaler, a dentist, and Tim Steglich, a business consultant and economist.
The first batch of "Illusionist" was created in November 2016, distilled according to a formula of 16 botanical ingredients. Among them are: juniper, licorice, lavender, rosemary, angelica, cardamom, nutmeg, lemons and oranges. The presentation of The Illusionist goes beyond the usual framework, the bottle looks like a vessel with a secret potion and is somewhat reminiscent of Bruichladdich Black Art. The surprising blue color of the gin is due to the petals of secret flowers from the Far East and added before distillation, but the real magic begins with the addition of tonic or another mixer, which will change the color of the drink to shades of pink or purple. A similar effect leaves an unforgettable impression, and is also a trademark of the drink, invaluable for marketing.
The Illusionist Dry Gin is unique on a global scale and should permanently reside in our bars. Extremely aromatic, floral-citrus, with delicate peppery and herbal notes, it tastes great with basically any dry tonic. We also highly recommend experimenting with other mixers.
