Product description
Glengoyne Distillery is based in the village of Dumgoyne, approximately 15 miles north of Glasgow, close to Loch Lomond.
Privately owned by Ian Macleod since 2003, it produces almost a million litres of spirit a year. Glengoyne is an incredibly elegant single malt, ‘distilled from malted barley using hot air, without a trace of peat smoke’, as its owners say. Distilled in the autumn of 1969, when the distillery was owned by Robertson & Baxter, it was aged for around 30 years and bottled at cask strength (55.3% abv) at the start of the new millennium.
