Product description
Green Spot Château Montelena is the second instalment in the “Wine Gees” series, which began in 2015 with the release of Château Léoville Barton.
The term “Wine Gees” refers to the Irish, wine enthusiasts who left their home country, where their life passion had no chance to develop. Jim Barrett left Ireland for Boston in the middle of the last century, but fate took him to California, where in the 1970s he acquired the declining Montelena winery in Napa Valley. After years of work and considerable investment, he managed to restore Montelena to its former glory. The whiskey presented here spent 7 to 10 years in bourbon and sherry barrels, after which it was placed in Zinfandel barrels from Château Montelena for 12 months.
