Product description
Speyburn Distillery was built in 1897. Since 1991 it has been owned by Inver House Distillers, which in turn is part of the Thai conglomerate Thai Beverage plc.
It is the largest plant in the Inver House portfolio, and following an expansion completed in 2015, it has the capacity to produce 4.5 million litres of spirit per year. Speyburn single malt plays a key role in the formulations of Inver House blends, including Catto's, Hankey Bannister and Inver House Green Plaid. Speyburn single malt is much more popular overseas than in its native Europe, although the distillery has recently significantly expanded its commercial offer. The 18-year-old version presented here is a blend of spirits aged in sherry and bourbon casks. The first batch hit the market in 2018 in an edition of 9,000 bottles.
