Jura One for You, 18-year-old Small Batch / 52.5% / 0.7l

Jura One for You, released in 2018, is the final chapter of a trilogy dedicated to the so-called Diurachs, or in Gaelic, the inhabitants of the island and the lovers of its whisky scattered around the world.

Its first part, One for the Road, was released in 2016 to mark the end of the career of long-time master distiller Wilie Cochrane; the second, One and All, dedicated to the distillery employees and the Jura community, hit the market a year later. The whisky presented here spent 18 years in bourbon barrels, and was finished in virgin quarter casks made of white American oak. Jura One for You is bottled at cask strength (52.5% abv) with a natural color and without chill filtration.

Aroma: fruity-sweet, vanilla, honey, coconut flakes, oranges, mango, pineapples, dried apricots, sugar-roasted nuts and a pinch of cinnamon.

Palate: honey, vanilla, white chocolate, caramel, oranges, tangerines, pears in syrup, cloves, cashews, notes of pepper and oak.

Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, honey, tropical fruits, cinnamon and pepper.
