The Game of Thrones whisky series is the result of the combined efforts of Diageo and HBO Inc., the show's producer. It consists of eight single malts representing the seven families of Westeros and the Night's Watch.
Stark is one of the great houses of Westeros and the main noble house of the North. Their ancestral seat is the ancient castle of Winterfell, and their motto is the phrase "Winter is coming", which is more of a warning than a boast. Several members of the Stark family are the main narrators of the novels "Game of Thrones". Dalwhinnie Distillery, located in a remote area at an altitude of 326 m above sea level and exposed to harsh gusts of wind, blends perfectly with the scenery of Winterfell. Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost was aged in bourbon barrels, and its label shows the Stark family crest, a gray direwolf. The producer recommends serving the whisky after chilling
Nose: honey, vanilla, apples, pears, nectarines, pineapples, a handful of fresh herbs, graham crackers, ginger and subtle oak notes.
Palate: soft, honey, toffee, vanilla, buttered graham cracker, bananas, peaches, cantaloupe, a pinch of white pepper and ginger.
Finish: medium long, with notes of honey, vanilla, juicy fruit and a blend of spices.
