Game of Thrones, one of the most popular television series, inspired Diageo and HBO, its producer, to present its characters through the prism of single malt whisky.
The series consists of eight single malts representing the seven dynasties of Westeros and the Night's Watch. Greyjoy is one of the great houses of Westeros ruling the Iron Islands, a harsh land on the western coast of the continent, with a motto of "We do not sow". Talisker seems to perfectly reflect the character of the Greyjoy family. The distillery is based on the Isle of Skye, a rocky and wind-swept Isle of Skye, which shapes the character of the local whisky. The House Greyjoy edition is based on whisky aged in American oak barrels, and its label is decorated with the family's emblem, the kraken,
