Product description
Teerenpeli Distillery was established in 2002 in Lahti, Finland, on the initiative of Anssi Pyysing, in the building where the family ran the Taivaanrata restaurant.
The new distillery, equipped with traditional Scottish-made stills, began operations in 2015 and has increased the company’s annual production capacity to over 100,000 litres. Teerenpeli distills from locally grown barley and uses ex-bourbon, sherry and port casks to mature its whisky. Portti debuted in 2016 as part of the Distiller’s Choice series and features whisky aged for three years in ex-bourbon casks and finished for a further 18 months in ex-port casks.
