Product description
Aberfeldy Distillery, built in 1896 by John and Tommy Dewar, has supplied whisky for Dewar's blends, primarily White Label, since its inception.
For this reason, the local single malt has never experienced much marketing. Aberfeldy 12 years old debuted in 1998, shortly after Bacardi Ltd bought the distillery from Diageo. The whisky was aged for at least 12 years, mostly in bourbon casks, and has won several medals and awards over the years. Indeed, it is one of the “friendliest” single malts in our range, a whisky suitable for any occasion. The latest incarnation of the 12 year old is presented in a gilded case, hence the name The Golden Dram.
