Dailuaine 19-year-old, (D.1963) Connoisseurs Choice / 40% / 0.7l
- Connoisseurs Choice is an old whisky label from Gordon & MacPhail’s portfolio.
Product description
Connoisseurs Choice is one of the oldest whisky series in the Gordon & MacPhail portfolio.
It debuted in the mid-1960s, when most Scottish malt distilleries were producing for blenders, not even considering promoting their whiskies as single malts. Today, more than half a century later, Connoisseurs Choice is still a successful competitor in the single malt market and has its devoted fans. The Dailuaine presented here, distilled in 1963, shortly after the installation of a third pair of stills, was aged for almost two decades in sherry and bourbon oak casks, with the former predominating. Until 1983, Dailuaine Distillery malted its own barley.
