Product description
The Pusser's brand is strongly associated with British sailing traditions.
Traditionally, on Royal Navy ships, each sailor received a daily ration of rum, rationed by the ship's purser (which the sailors changed to Pusser). Pusser's Rum Ltd. was founded almost a decade after that sad moment when this noble custom was abandoned in the Royal Navy, which took place on July 31, 1970. The inconsolable sailors named this day Black Tot Day. They had to wait until 1979 to be able to recall the taste of the good old days - thanks to Pusser's Rum Ltd. To start, five different rums from the West Indies (i.e. the Caribbean) were put together using the original Royal Navy recipe. The presented version of the fifteen-year-old rum appeared on the market in late 2018. It is a blend of rums from Guyana, which were matured for 15 years in oak barrels. Its bouquet offers accents of chocolate, fudge, licorice, prunes, coffee, nuts and black pepper.
