Product description
Single malt Smokehead debuted in 2006 in the Ian Macleod Distillers offering.
The whisky has been well received by consumers and is competing well with other malts from undisclosed distilleries on Islay, such as Finlaggan and Ileach. Spokesperson Ian Macleod proudly declared that “Smokehead challenges the established order of the whisky world and the spirit itself and its unusual presentation appeal strongly to the young consumer who is always ready to accept it.” We have heard that the Smokehead brand is the work of a young Ardbeg, but we are unable to verify this information.
