Product description
The Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL for short) is a line of rums bottled for a French distributor specializing mainly in whisky, but also offering other spirits, including rum.
La Maison du Whisky, because that's what we're talking about, offers short, limited editions of rums from Caribbean rum factories. These are often single-barrel editions. Their common feature is that they are matured twice - first in the tropical conditions of the place of production, after which the rum is brought to Europe for the final stage of maturation.
Rum TCRL Jamaica 2012 is a molasses rum, distilled in traditional copper stills. It was placed in oak barrels after American bourbon in 2012 and matured in Jamaica almost until the end of 2016. Then it went to Europe, where it spent almost a year in the same barrels. Bottled in 2017 in an edition limited to 6575 bottles, offered in its purest form - without filtration, colouring, added sugar or dilution. In its bouquet we will find accents of plums, chocolate, nutmeg, honey, floral and plant notes, intense spices.
