Chivas Regal XV 15-year-old / Golden Bottle / 40% / 0.7l

Chivas Regal is the most popular premium blended whisky, with annual sales of over 4.2 million cases.

In 2018, Pernod Ricard, owner of Chivas Bros., enriched the Chivas Regal range with new editions, including the unforgettable Chivas Mizunara and the Chivas XV presented here. The latter was made from spirits aged for no less than 15 years, some of which were finished in cognac barrels from the Grande Champagne district. The name of the whisky itself refers somewhat to cognac, whose producers usually use designations such as VS or XO instead of a simple age statement. Chivas XV is presented in two types of bottle, a luxurious gold one, intended for ceremonial occasions, and a standard transparent one, offered in a gold cardboard box. (Official tasting note.)

Nose: rich and sweet, strong tones of stewed red apples, homemade orange jam, honey, cinnamon and juicy sultanas.

Taste: incredibly mild, fruity, poached pears, milk fudge and caramel toffee creating a velvety nectar for the mouth. 

Finish: harmoniously balanced with notes of vanilla.
