Product description
The Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL for short) is a line of rums bottled for a French distributor specializing mainly in whisky, but also offering other spirits, including rum.
La Maison du Whisky, because that's what we're talking about, offers short, limited editions of rums from Caribbean rum factories. These are often single-barrel editions. Their common feature is that they are matured twice - first in the tropical conditions of the place of production, after which the rum is brought to Europe for the final stage of maturation.
TCRL Guyana 2004 Rum is a molasses rum, distilled in traditional copper stills. It is a blend of the contents of two oak barrels of American bourbon. These barrels matured for a short period in the tropical climate of Guyana, and the vast majority of maturation took place in Europe. Bottled in 2018 in the most natural form possible - without filtration, added sugar, dilution, etc. In its bouquet we will find mineral accents, pears, flowers, spices.
