Product description
The Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL for short) is a line of rums bottled for a French distributor specializing mainly in whisky, but also offering other spirits, including rum.
La Maison du Whisky, because that's what we're talking about, offers short, limited editions of rums from Caribbean rum factories. These are often single-barrel editions. Their common feature is that they are matured twice - first in the tropical conditions of the place of production, after which the rum is brought to Europe for the final stage of maturation.
TCRL Guadeloupe 2013 is a molasses rum distilled in traditional copper stills at the little-known Bonne Mère distillery in Guadeloupe. It was aged in American bourbon barrels for less than three years, then matured for less than a year in a European climate. Bottled in 2017. Its bouquet features accents of plums, pears, citrus, coconut, herbal notes and spices.
