Product description
Bodega Torres was founded in 1870 by Jaime Torres Vendrell (the family had been cultivating vines since the beginning of the 18th century).
In 1928, Juan Torres Casals began producing brandy from white wines from the Penedés region (Catalonia); he distilled and aged them in oak barrels, giving birth to the Familia Torres Company. Today, Torres is the sixth most popular brandy in the world, with annual sales of 1.1 million cases (2022). Torres Jaime I was created in homage to the founder of Bodegas Torres. It is produced using the Parellada grape variety and matured for up to 30 years using the solera system. The unique presentation is inspired by the Casa Milá building designed by Antoni Gaudí. In 2015, Torres Jaime I won the title of "World's Best Brandy" at the World Brandy Awards.
