Product description
The Willetts are undoubtedly a family with a great distilling tradition.
In the late 1700s, they moved from Maryland to Nelson County, Kentucky, where John David Willett (b. 1841) became a partner and master distiller at Moore, Willett & Frenke. His descendants acquired a farm near Bardstown and began distilling in 1935. Since the late 1980s, the company has operated as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, bottling and distributing only whiskey. Rebuilt and re-equipped, it resumed distilling in January 2012. Willett Family Estate Bottled Small Batch Rye features whiskey distilled after that date. It is as young as it is distinctive. The whiskey is bottled in small batches at barrel strength.
