Product description
With global sales of 4 million cases (2018), Tanqueray ranks third on the list of most popular gins (first is Gordon's, 6.5 million cases, and second is Bombay Sapphire, 4.3 million cases).
Tanqueray gin, the creation of Charles Tanqueray, debuted in 1830. Its formula lists just four ingredients: juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, and licorice, although it is possible that this is not a complete list. The gin was originally distilled at the family distillery based in London's Bloomsbury. In 1986, the brand was acquired by United Distillers, it is currently owned by Diageo and is produced at the Cameronbridge Distillery in Scotland. Tanqueray Lovage London Dry debuted in May 2018 and is inspired by a formula developed by Charles Tanqueray in 1832. Unfortunately, we do not know the details of it, the confirmed botanicals are juniper berries, nettle, lovage, coriander, angelica root, chamomile, cinchona bark, and cubeb pepper.
Tanqueray Lovage London Dry is a gin with incredibly intense herbal notes masterfully balanced with juniper, pine needles, celery and licorice. The producer recommends serving it with tonic, coriander leaf and a few juniper berries.
