Product description
Tamdhu Distillery was built between 1896 and 1897 by leading blended whisky producers including John Walker & Sons, William Grant & Co. and Robertson & Baxter.
Since 2011, the distillery has been owned by Ian Macleod Distillers and produces around 3 million litres of distillate per year at 75% of its capacity. Tamdhu features in many blends, including Cutty Sark, J&B and Famous Grouse. In 2013, Ian Macleod introduced a 10-year-old Matured in Sherry Casks to its core range, which was well-received by the market. In summer 2018, it was replaced by a 12-year-old edition, also made from distillates aged exclusively in American and European oak sherry casks.
