Product description
The first edition of The Orphan Barrel Whisky Project series was launched in late 2013 and caused quite a stir among vintage bourbon lovers.
The series is published by Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company, a marketing creation of Diageo, and the whiskeys released in it come from barrels "accidentally found" in the warehouses of the group's distilleries. The Orphan Barrel Archive Collection consists of six such whiskeys presented in an elegant wooden box with a padded interior.
§ Barterhouse – Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged for 20 years was the series’ forerunner. It is an elegant whiskey with a palette filled with spices, biscuits and sweet cream.
§ Old Blowhard – came from forgotten barrels filled with 26-year-old Kentucky bourbon. This is a drink with an unusual palette, in which notes of honey, orange peel and campfire smoke intertwine.
§ Lost Prophet – Aged for over two decades, it has won the hearts of bourbon lovers with its excellent balance of flavor elements, filled with notes of spicy pastry, vanilla and leather, and a wonderfully smoky finish.
§ Rhetoric 21 years old – this is the second edition of the “rhetoric” bourbon. This Kentucky Straight Bourbon caresses our taste buds with notes of vanilla, caramel and honey and a long, oaky buckwheat finish.
§ Forged Oak – a representative of the younger generation for this series. Straight Bourbon from Kentucky bottled after 15 years of maturation tempts with notes of summer berries, cocoa, oak and a spicy, peppery finish.
§ Whoop & Holler – this is a senior Orphan Barrel Archive Collection, American whiskey 28 years old, combining notes of corn, tobacco, citrus peel and honey.
