The Bitter Truth Pink Gin / 40% / 0.7l

Bitter Truth Company was founded by two Munich bartenders, Stephan Berg and Alexander Hauck, in 2006.

Berg has a large collection of cocktail spices of the "bitter" type, some of which have been unavailable for decades and the idea behind the company's establishment was to resume production of some of them. The company's offer today includes over a dozen of the aforementioned "bitters", several liqueurs and the Pink Gin presented here. The formula of the latter is not disclosed, we only know that it contains juniper berries, lemons, licorice, cumin and fennel as well as the aforementioned own cocktail spices "bitter" - Bitter Truth Pink Gin is a unique blend of traditional gin and fragrant bitters - we read in the manufacturer's manifesto. The tradition of a similar mixture comes from the British Navy, which served it to sailors to prevent the effects of seasickness. However, the manufacturer assures that Bitter Truth Pink Gin is composed with the modern, demanding consumer in mind. (Manufacturer's taste note.)

"The aromatic bouquet of our gin is dominated by rich floral and fruity notes. Its flavor palette offers mild notes of juniper berries masterfully incorporated into a pleasantly spicy triangle of licorice-cumin-fennel. We recommend serving it in a Martini cocktail, with tonic, and we also encourage tasting it with just an ice cube."
