Product description
G'vine gin is a product of EuroWinegate, a company founded in 2001 by two oenologists, Jean Sebastian Robicquet and Bruno de Reilhac.
This gin is distilled in small batches using botanicals from the Cognac region and wine spirit (Ugni Blanc grape variety). A unique ingredient in the G'vine gin formula are grape flowers, which form tiny clusters after just a few days. The flowering period is called "floraison" and the fruit setting period "nouaison". The flowers are hand-picked, macerated in wine spirit for several days, and finally the whole thing is distilled in a small copper still. Other botanicals include juniper berries, ginger root, licorice, cassia bark, cardamom, coriander, cubeb pepper, nutmeg and lime; they are individually macerated and distilled. Since 2017, the Nouaison formula has also included plums, bergamot, sandalwood and fragrant vetiver.
The new version of G'vine Nouaison is bottled at 45% alcohol and is slightly less spicy than the previous version. In the palette, strong herbal and juniper notes balance the sweetness of the grapes, while ginger, nutmeg and coriander create a distinctive background. We recommend serving it in an Extra Dry Martini.
