Product description
Full Volume is one of the latest offerings from Highland Park (2017) and the first one that does not refer to the Vikings, their traditions and beliefs, but evokes a musical parallel.
The balance of aromas and flavours in whisky is the equivalent of the harmony of sounds in a musical composition. The presentation of the drink expresses this more suggestively, with two amplifiers and knobs on the box to reflect the intensity of tones, or flavour factors, in whisky. Full Volume is composed of distillates aged exclusively in bourbon barrels (481 in total), both 200-litre bourbon barrels and 250-litre hogsheads, filled in 1999. The whisky was filtered at 4ºC and bottled at 47.2% alcohol.
Aroma: malty-citrus, mango, pineapples, oranges, papaya, banana cake, vanilla, caramel, a touch of cedar and a fleeting note of smoke.
Taste: fruity-sweet, candy, bananas, mango, oranges, vanilla cream, honey, caramel, a pinch of cinnamon, a touch of oak and peat smoke.
Finish: medium long, a combination of citrus and vanilla sweetness with a delicate bitterness of oak and a fleeting hint of peat smoke.
