In April 2018 Jura Distillery released the Sherry Cask Collection exclusively for Travel Retail. The range consists of four expressions named after features of the Isle of Jura.
All four have been matured in white American oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximénez casks. The Sound of Jura is a strait in Argyll and Bute. It is to the east of the Isle of Jura and to the west of Knapdale, part of peninsula of the Scottish mainland. The north end is particularly treacherous with strong currents and whirlpools, especially Corryvreckan, the third largest in the world, with namesake Ardbeg whisky. Jura the Sound was aged in white American oak barrels and finished in casks, which held Pedro Ximénez sherry for 15 years.
