Copper Dog, named after an old device, a copper tube, which was used by distillery workers to sneak whisky from the cask and smuggle it out, is a blended malt whisky created by master blender Stuart Morrison for Craigellachie Hotel in 2016. It contains eight single malts from Speyside, all supplied by the world largest producer of alcoholic beverages, Diageo. The whisky has been aged in mixture of refill European and American oak casks, first fill ex-bourbon barrels and rejuvenated casks and then married in hogsheads. Our bottle is part of batch 16/0673. Copper Dog is also a name of the bar at Craigellachie Hotel.
