Product description
Benriach Dunder debuted in spring 2015 alongside Albariza and Latada. These were 18-year-old, smoky and peaty whiskies finished in various types of wood, Dunder in dark rum barrels.
Two years later, and a year after the distillery was taken over by the American corporation Brown-Forman, Dunder reappeared in the offer, this time as a 22-year-old spirit, finished in barrels of dark Jamaican rum. The whisky is bottled with a natural color and without cold filtration. The term "Dunder" refers to the liquid that collects at the bottom of the still during distillation from sugar molasses. Due to the high yeast content, some producers add it to the next portion of the mash.
