Product description
The Renaissance Collection series reflects a new profile of the Gen Garioch single malt, which the distillery launched in 1997 after a two-year hiatus from production.
Until 1994, the distillery distilled from malt with a phenol concentration of 8-10 ppm, and for the last 20 years has been using malted barley without peat, which translates into a whisky with a fruity palette. The Renaissance Collection debuted in 2014 and shows the transformation of the distillate as the maturation process progresses. The third edition (3rd Chapter) from 2017 presented here is a whisky aged in bourbon and sherry casks for at least 17 years and bottled at a natural alcohol content of 50.8% and without chill filtration. The final, fourth edition should hit the market a year later.
