Product description
8 Seconds (Sec8nds) is a blended Canadian whisky from Frank-Lin Distillers portfolio.
The company was founded in 1966 by the Maestri family, whose heritage goes back to 1933, and is one of the major bottlers of distilled spirits. Sec8nds whisky commemorates Professional Bull Riders and 8 seconds rule (the amount of time a cowboy must ride a bucking bull in the rodeo contest before the bell signals his ride is completed). Frank-Lin Distillers do not disclose which Canadian distillery supplies whisky for the brand. Most likely the blend is shipped in bulk to California then processed and bottled at the Frank-Lin facility.
Nose: grainy and pretty sweet, vanilla, caramel, maple syrup, hints of pepper and cinnamon with a backdrop of oak shavings.
Palate: soft, vanilla, caramel, sweet cereals, milk chocolate, white pepper, hints of tobacco and oak.
Finish: not too long, slightly spirity, with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, touches of hay and oak.
